After a serious accident, during a parachute jump with her wingsuit, Susanne Böhme sits paraplegic in a wheelchair. But as with all the challenges in her life so far, she remembers her motto "There is nothing impossible".
Susanne begins with therapeutic movement training and recognizes during the movement at MOTOmed that, despite the opposite prognosis, there is still residual strength present in her legs. Today she practices her first free steps and continues to train diligently with her MOTOmed.

Samuel Koch has been paraplegic since his accident at a German-language entertainment television Show: "Wetten, dass...?" in 2010. In the meantime it is possible for him to steer his arms by the strength of his shoulders and thus to operate his electric wheelchair or mobile phone. Samuel Koch is supported by the MOTOmed viva2 in his daily movement training.
We are pleased: The two product lines MOTOmed loop and MOTOmed layson were nominated for the GERMAN DESIGN AWARD 2019. The award goes to manufacturers and designers of unique design products and projects in the German designer landscape.
More than 127 exhibitors presented their current products, services, information and solutions for wheelchair users, handicapped persons, people with other disabilities and seniors at the International Trade Fair for Mobility and Rehabilitation (IRMA) in Hamburg from 22 to 24 June.
RECK shows once again that it is a successful and divers training company. Six trainees from different branches of the company have successfully completed their apprenticeship. As a result, the young employees have taken a big step forward in their professional development.
Due to the 60th anniversary in 2017 RECK awarded sixty donations in health sector, social care, nature protection and culture. For this reason, the department of neurology at Biberach’s Sana Clinic received a donation in kind. On 5 March 2018 Thorsten Banzhaf, regional manager of RECK Germany Medical, handed over a MOTOmed viva1 to Dr. Michael Sabolek, chief physician, and Melanie Bischofberger, head nurse, to support the motor-assisted movement therapy.
From 6th to 8th March 2018, managers, directors of nursing homes, decision makers and care staff met on Hannover fairground to attend the ALTENPFLEGE, the leading fair of the international care sector. In Germany and its neighboring countries, the ALTENPFLEGE is considered as the most important networking event for the care sector.
In several rehab facilities, hospitals and specialist clinics from Lombardy and Emilia Romagna RECK hosted product demonstrations with MOTOmed muvi and MOTOmed letto2_legs/arms. Within these demonstrations, the focus was on the simultaneous function of MOTOmed muvi, the benefit of the whole-body therapy as well as the possibility for an early mobilization for patients in intensive care units.
The Arab Health has become the biggest and most important trade fair for health and medicine in the MENA region. The continuous growth of the fair says it all: More than 4200 exhibitors and 103.000 participants from more than 150 countries were present at the Arab Health in Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre from 29th January – 1st of February 2018.
The Thuringian Department of the Interior endowed the organisation „Herzblatt“ with lottery money, in order to support the healing process of the patients in pediatric orthopedics of hospital Marienstift.

On occasion of the company’s 60th anniversary, RECK donated 60 times 1.000 Euro to the areas health, social affairs, environment protection and culture. The voluntary fire brigade Betzenweiler also received a donation.
On the 28th of November 2017, Thorsten Banzhaf (r.), regional sales manager for medical devices in Germany, handed over the donation check of 1.000 Euro to Prof. Dr. med. Hayrettin Tumani, medical director, and Ms Vitanopoulus, manager of physiotherapy, of the clinic Dietenbronn.
The German TV lottery portrayed the Johannes-Brenz house, a nursery home for patients with multiple sclerosis in Backnang, on the occasion of the lottery’s anniversary. The Johannes-Brenz house is specialized in the support of younger MS patients and other similarly affected people.
„You are valuable“ is the anniversary campaign of the German TV lottery. The initiative features those who support people in need all over Germany. Helping and standing up for persons in need is also the philosophy of RECK MOTOmed.
