Early Mobilization

Improvement of rehabilitation and quality of life in intensive care patients

Early mobilization is the key to a successful rehabilitation process. With the motor driven therapy device MOTOmed letto2, patients after accidents and surgeries can be mobilized already on intensive care units.
With the MOTOmed letto2, the patient moves motor driven, motor supported or with own muscle strength in supine position. Therapy aids such as the function ServoCycling enable active movements of the arms or legs – even with minimal muscle strength and incomplete paralysis. A frequent application helps to sustain joint flexibility and activates blood circulation and metabolism. Moreover, MOTOmed movement provides a natural decubitus and thrombosis prophylaxis. The usage of the arm/ upper body trainer strengthens the auxiliary respiratory muscles and supports the weaning from mechanical ventilation. The MOTOmed letto2 movement therapy helps to increase the healing process and to avoid secondary diseases.

MOTOmed movement therapy

MOTOmed Movement Therapy was developed for people with limited mobility and supports physiotherapy, ergo therapy and sports therapy. Users can train sitting in a wheelchair or from a chair. In supine position, patients use the MOTOmed from the nursing bed or from the therapy bed.
