Neurology department receives a MOTOmed for movement therapy

Due to the 60th anniversary in 2017 RECK awarded sixty donations in health sector, social care, nature protection and culture. For this reason, the department of neurology at Biberach’s Sana Clinic received a donation in kind. On 5 March 2018 Thorsten Banzhaf, regional manager of RECK Germany Medical, handed over a MOTOmed viva1 to Dr. Michael Sabolek, chief physician, and Melanie Bischofberger, head nurse, to support the motor-assisted movement therapy.

“With the MOTOmed leg trainer our therapy spectrum is now offering an effective and efficient tool for the motor-assisted movement therapy. A valuable addition to manual physiotherapy and ideal to influence endurance, strength, mobility and coordination in a positive way. Additionally, the smooth training can ease spasms and reduce movement fear. Especially for Parkinson patient’s positive effects on tremor and step range could be noticed. An important requirement for our patients to re-experience joy while moving. We would like to thank RECK for this generous support.”- Dr. Sabolek, chief physician.
