100,000 Euros for Emergency Medical Services in the District Biberach

RECK-Technik has donated €100,000 to the German Red Cross district association in Biberach, supporting the long-term modernization of emergency medical care throughout the region. The donation is being invested specifically in two forward-looking projects aimed at improving both the technical equipment used by emergency medical services and the digital networking between emergency responders and hospitals.

Project 1: Modern Defibrillator and ECG Systems

Part of the donation will fund the acquisition of state-of-the-art defibrillator and ECG systems for ambulances and emergency physician vehicles. The new devices provide significantly enhanced capabilities in patient monitoring and emergency diagnostics. In addition to more precise measurement methods, vital patient data can be recorded, analyzed and documented more quickly directly during emergency operations. This gives paramedics and medical personnel improved support in critical situations and enables faster, more targeted treatment.

Project 2: Digital Data Transmission with data.Share

Another key focus is the implementation and expansion of the digital platform “data.Share”. The system enables the secure real-time transmission of medical data between emergency medical services and hospitals. ECG data, vital signs and other important patient information can already be transmitted to the receiving hospital while the ambulance is still en route. This allows emergency departments to prepare for incoming patients at an earlier stage and begin treatment more quickly upon arrival. At the same time, the digital networking improves collaboration between emergency responders and hospital staff while helping to streamline processes throughout the entire emergency care chain.

DRK President Mario Glaser, members of the management board Peter Haug and Michael Mutschler, as well as Sascha Fried, Medical Devices Officer of the DRK, were present on site that day and additionally brought an ambulance, offering valuable insights into the modern equipment and day-to-day work of emergency medical services.

Through this support, RECK-Technik and the DRK district association Biberach are making an important contribution to a modern, efficient and future-oriented emergency care system in the region.
