Saint Nicholas 2018

On behalf of Saint Nicholas, the trainees presented all employees with wonderfully fragrant and delicious Saint Nicholas plait bread (Zopfbrot-Nikoläuse). The staff was very pleased with this friendly gesture.

According to Christian tradition, the tradition of giving presents on 6 December goes back to Bishop Nicholas of Myra in todays Turkey. He lived in the 4th century and was known for his charity and donations to the poor. In order to honor him, the custom of giving gifts to children on Saint Nicholas' name day developed in many European countries. That is why everyone at RECK likes to become a child again.
